What should a GEO content and implementation scope include?

A GEO content and implementation scope needs the pages, supported claims, proposed edits and delivery checks you are buying. Procore's dated page review on 8 October 2026 recorded 20 stated, 44 unstated and 28 unknown criteria out of 92. A research gap in that table starts an investigation; it does not automatically become an approved product claim or a completed page change.

What we measured

Measured. Study 7 connects extracted answer criteria with dated page evidence. Its full method covered 2,003 criteria from 2,093 eligible September answers across 14 categories. The construction captures were on 22 September; the Procore page comparison on 8 October produced the 20/44/28 source states across 92 criteria. These are AI-stated requirements and page classifications, not independently tested features. Team review remains in progress, with no independently verified criteria in the published review state.

What this means for you

Reasoned. Give the proposal a change list that a reader can assess. For each page, identify the reader question, the factual statement to add or correct, and the primary evidence needed before approval. Keep unsupported ideas in a research list rather than presenting them as copy that is ready to publish.

Describe implementation separately from writing. Does the work end with a draft, an approved edit in the site system, or a served page that has been checked? Name any required template or navigation work and the evidence that shows the intended text is visible. A document containing proposed changes is a useful output, but it does not establish delivery on the site.

Use the Procore example to set the approval boundary. An unstated criterion needs a matching product source before you can fill the gap. An unknown row may need a narrower claim or a question back to the product owner. Neither is permission to invent a feature because an AI answer mentioned it.

Keep the acceptance test tied to the edit: supported wording, correct scope, working source link and served result. A later change in AI naming is a separate observation, not the evidence that the agreed page work was completed.

  • For a buyer: identify the exact source-backed edit and the delivered form you will accept.
  • For an agency: separate research, approval and implementation in the scope and status record.
  • For a vendor: resolve product truth before approving a page claim.

Use the Free 10-question check (one engine). No email is needed; runs are limited per network and per day, and by the site's daily allowance. Use the check to choose a question worth resolving before expanding the content scope.
