How can I check whether an AI citation supports its claim?
Open the cited page and compare its actual passage with the answer's subject, date, number and conditions. In Wrong About You, a Procore answer captured on 22 September 2026 said the vendor had no pricing page; the study checked it against a vendor pricing page read on 8 October. This was one of 113 statements classed wrong among 2,922 studied statements. The page's existence and publishing a fixed price are different claims, so a citation label alone cannot settle both.
What we measured
Measured. The published Wrong About You record retains the Procore statement, answer record, engine and source comparison. It classed the no-pricing-page statement as wrong against the vendor's published page. The proof passage described pricing as depending on the products needed and the amount of construction. It supported the existence of a pricing page, without supplying a universal fixed dollar price.
Across seventy vendors, the study classed 113 statements wrong, five stale and 880 unverifiable among 2,922 statements captured on 22 and 23 September 2026. Vendor pages were read on 8 October. Team review of flagged statements is in progress; the example is a dated study classification rather than a newly checked statement about Procore today.
Reasoned. A linked page and a passage supporting the precise claim are separate evidence steps. A source that mentions pricing may still fail to support a particular amount, billing period or availability condition. If the destination cannot be read, keep the support question unresolved.
Our answer-study method, v1.1.
What this means for you
Break a compound answer into claims before checking it. “There is a pricing page”, “the plan costs a stated amount” and “that amount applies to this buyer” can need different evidence.
Retain the full destination URL and relevant passage with a read date. Check the product or plan identity and any qualification near the quoted text. Do not treat the site's general reputation as a substitute for that comparison.
If the source contradicts the answer, preserve both records. If it merely fails to settle the point, use an unknown label instead of declaring the statement false. That distinction gives a correction request a factual basis.

When reading Free 10-question check (one engine), follow the link and locate the exact passage before labelling a claim supported. No email is needed; runs are limited per network and per day, and by the site's daily allowance.
If that comparison establishes one factual correction, Fix one answer, $490 can use the retained claim and primary-source receipt. An unread source is a gap to resolve first.
