What can Search Console show about AI visibility queries?

Search Console can show reported search queries, impressions and clicks; query wording alone cannot show what an AI assistant answered. In our 27 October 2026 export, a filter of at least twelve whitespace-separated words selected 134 distinct queries with 969 impressions and zero query-table clicks. Those figures cover 26 July to 25 October 2026, a 92-day window. They are a search-report observation, without evidence of who composed the queries.

What we measured

Measured. The published aggregate preserves the filter, dates, totals and export hashes without exposing query text. The 27 October 2026 export covers a 92-day window from 26 July to 25 October 2026. We reviewed the 1,000 query rows in the source table and selected queries containing at least 12 whitespace-separated words. The selected 134 distinct queries contributed 969 impressions and 0 query-table clicks. This filter measures length, with no label for an assistant's involvement.

Query wording does not identify who wrote it or what an AI engine answered.

Reported. Google's impression and click definitions explain the events in Search Console. Its AI-feature guidance, read on 28 October 2026, says traffic from AI Overviews and AI Mode is included in the overall Web performance report. A query-length filter does not isolate those features.

The figures here come from a Google export and the stated filter. The linked answer-study method below governs our separate answer research; it does not turn these exported search figures into captured AI answers.

What this means for you

Use query wording to identify a possible topic worth investigating. Keep that demand signal in its proper form: a reported search, with its dates and query-table metrics. If you need to know what an engine said, retain an actual answer observation separately.

Do not describe the zero query-table clicks as zero traffic for the whole site, or reconcile this filtered table to a different chart by assumption. Report tables and aggregation rules can describe different populations.

Keep raw queries private when they contain personal or commercial detail. An aggregate can make the filter and accounting inspectable without republishing a person's full question or inferring their identity.

Next step

Use Free 10-question check (one engine) when a search topic needs a separate captured-answer check; keep the export receipt beside, rather than inside, that answer result. No email is needed; runs are limited per network and per day, and by the site's daily allowance.

If the answer then reveals one source-backed factual problem, Fix one answer, $490 can address that answer. Query length alone cannot identify a fact to correct.
