Which dental software does Claude recommend?

Dentrix appeared in 26 of 30 Claude dental-software answers captured on 22 September 2026, with Curve Dental in 25 and Open Dental in 24. These are observed naming counts, not dentists' votes. Product identity also matters: the release tracks Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend and Dentrix Enterprise as separate rows. Keep the named product intact when deciding which claim to check.

What we measured

Measured. The September dental Index supplies ten fixed questions with three Claude answers apiece. All 30 Claude answers were usable. They cover new practices, very small offices, alternatives, comparisons and a dental service organisation with multiple locations. Captures took place on 22 September 2026, before the release on 23 September.

The 26 Dentrix appearances give a rate of 86.7 percent and a descriptive Wilson 95 percent interval of 70.3 to 94.7 percent. Those figures concern recorded answers, without measuring how many dental practices would select the product.

Fifteen of twenty checked dental vendors appeared at least once. The full alphabetical table includes five vendors with zero matches. A count follows the source's recorded identity and aliases; it should not be reassigned to a related edition just because two product names share a word.

For the very-small-office question, Curve Dental appeared in all three answers and Dentrix Enterprise in none. In the multi-location dental-service-organisation question, Curve Dental appeared once and Dentrix Enterprise in all three. These small cells describe the captured answers, without testing either product's suitability for those settings.

Every figure comes from the published method, v1.1.

What this means for you

Reasoned. Before comparing a feature, resolve the product name in the answer. Keep edition, deployment context and the cited source together. That prevents a general supplier mention from becoming an unsupported claim about the exact system your office is considering.

Use the practice context to choose which answer to read. A small office and an organisation operating across locations can ask different questions of a system. The observed difference above is a prompt to inspect the wording, rather than evidence that the engine has verified either organisation's requirements.

If you maintain a dental-software page, publish the facts that distinguish the actual product. When a description is wrong, preserve the claim and the source that resolves it. Adding the three Dentrix rows into one new total would blur identities and could count the same answer more than once.
