Why is my construction software missing from AI answers?
The September record can show that a construction vendor was missing, but cannot tell you why it was omitted. Jonas Construction, Leap, Linarc and Penta Software each had zero recorded names in 150 construction answers captured on 22 September 2026. Those were four of 22 checked vendors. A cause needs further evidence about the exact question and the sources behind its answer.
What we measured
Measured. The September Index retained 150 answers to ten construction buyer questions: three runs each on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. Publication was 23 September 2026. Every vendor below had 0 of 150 recorded naming events, with a descriptive 95 percent Wilson interval of 0.0 to 2.5 percent for that answer count.
| Checked vendor with no recorded names | Named in valid answers |
|---|---|
| Jonas Construction | 0 of 150 |
| Leap | 0 of 150 |
| Linarc | 0 of 150 |
| Penta Software | 0 of 150 |
The missing-name pattern also depends on the question. On the Kahua-versus-e-Builder question for an owner running capital projects, twenty of the 22 checked vendors were never named across its fifteen valid answers. That smaller set is included in the 150-answer collection. e-Builder's presence in the question does not add it to the 22 checked-vendor roster. In the same collection, fieldwire.com was cited in 52 of 150 answers and buildertrend.com in 37. Those host counts provide source records to inspect, without explaining the missing vendor names.
What this means for you
Reasoned. First locate the observation you want to explain. Is your product absent from the entire construction collection, from one engine or from an owner's capital-project question? Preserve that distinction in the record you give a writer or supplier. A general visibility complaint can hide a much narrower gap.
Check the vendor label and recorded aliases before assuming the answer used no recognizable name. Then inspect the buyer's task: a residential builder choosing estimating software is not asking the same thing as an owner comparing capital-project systems. Use the corresponding answer record, without adding an untested explanation about the engine's preferences.
Read the linked source pages for that answer. If a source has a specific false statement about your product, retain its passage and the primary evidence that resolves it. If the source merely does not discuss your company, record that absence. It is a different finding from an inaccurate capability description.
Choose a page change only after identifying a fact that needs clarification. Write down the source, proposed wording and served-page check. The measured absence does not establish a product defect or demonstrate that a site edit will change a later AI answer; any later observation needs its own date and question.

Use the matching construction question in Free 10-question check (one engine) and save the answer before deciding what fact, if any, needs work. No email is needed; runs are limited per network and per day, and by the site's daily allowance.
If the investigation finds one supported source-page error, Fix one answer, $490 can address that wording. An unexplained zero alone does not define a factual correction.
Every figure comes from the published method, v1.1.
Claiming or correcting a vendor record is free and never depends on a purchase.
