Which sources do AI answers cite for project management software?
For project-management questions, the recorded source lists included celoxis.com in 49 of 150 valid answers captured on 22 and 23 September 2026, and thedigitalprojectmanager.com in 44. There were 200 distinct hosts across the category. A useful next step is to inspect the cited page for the specific planning or coordination claim, rather than treat the host count as a recommendation score.
What we measured
Measured. We counted cited hosts in the September project-management collection. Ten fixed questions received three scheduled answers per engine on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. All 150 answers were valid. The source records span 22 and 23 September 2026, with publication on 23 September.
celoxis.com's source-list rate was 32.7 percent, with a descriptive Wilson 95 percent interval of 25.7 to 40.5 percent. Each host is counted once per valid answer. The rate concerns this panel's recorded URLs, without showing the mechanism that selected those URLs or the products named nearby.

The six rows are selected examples from the full 200-host set, arranged alphabetically. They include product hosts and other sources; the table does not grade the pages' quality or prove that an answer endorsed a supplier. The counts combine all five engines.
Keep exact hosts intact when checking a claim. asana.com appeared in forty source lists, while help.asana.com appeared in seven. Their counts can overlap in an answer, and their individual pages can discuss different things. A combined total would need another answer-level check.

What this means for you
Reasoned. Locate the team setting first. A question about work across departments can differ from one about a services firm handling concurrent client projects. Preserve that wording with the answer before following a general category source list.
At the cited URL, find the passage supporting the named function or planning claim. Record the product, page date and what remains unanswered. A source on a familiar host can still fail to support the particular sentence you are evaluating.
When presenting the finding to a colleague, report the citation event and the factual inspection separately. You can show which host appeared and then explain whether a passage supported one claim. The 49 celoxis.com appearances do not establish team adoption, delivery of a project, source influence or the effect of an edit to your site.
