Which construction software does Perplexity recommend?

For a small residential builder, Perplexity's recorded names differed from its larger category totals. Procore appeared in 21 of 30 construction answers captured on 22 September 2026, but in none of the three small-residential-builder answers; Buildertrend, Contractor Foreman and JobTread appeared in all three. The counts answer which names appeared, without testing which product you should buy.

What we measured

Measured. The September Index asked ten construction questions three times on Perplexity, retaining all thirty answers. Procore's 21 of 30 gives 70.0 percent, with a descriptive 95 percent Wilson interval of 52.1 to 83.3 percent. Capture was 22 September 2026 and publication was 23 September. Thirteen of the 22 checked vendors appeared at least once; all checked labels, including nine zeros, are shown alphabetically.

The mid-sized-general-contractor question named Procore, Contractor Foreman and JobTread in each of its three Perplexity answers; Buildertrend appeared once. The owner-capital-projects question named Kahua in all three. These are question cells within the same thirty-answer collection. A name match does not reveal whether the answer endorsed the product, which cited publisher supported it or how it would perform on your project.

What this means for you

Reasoned. Choose the construction role before following a name. A residential builder coordinating jobs, a general contractor managing several parties and an owner overseeing capital projects need different evaluations. Start with the question closest to your work; a larger total can accumulate names from decisions that do not resemble yours.

Write down one operation a candidate must handle and identify the evidence you need to assess it. For estimating or scheduling, that might be a document or demonstration of the specific workflow, with its product edition and conditions recorded. Those are checks for your evaluation. The naming table did not execute the operation or compare delivery outcomes.

Keep the saved wording when tracing an answer's sources. A product can be named without the adjacent capability being supported by the cited passage. Conversely, a publisher may be cited without its own software being offered as an option. This engine table measures names, and it supplies no Perplexity-specific citation rate to substitute for them.

If you publish construction-software information, focus a correction on a demonstrable fact. Retain the answer, the primary source and the disputed statement before revising a page. Verify the served wording after the change and date any later AI observation separately. A zero on the small-builder question is not itself proof of an inaccurate description.

Use your own construction-role question in Free 10-question check (one engine) and retain a returned product claim with its source. No email is needed; runs are limited per network and per day, and by the site's daily allowance.

When that record establishes one factual page correction, Fix one answer, $490 can define the wording and the check after publication.

Every figure comes from the published method, v1.1.

Claiming or correcting a vendor record is free and never depends on a purchase.
