Why is my field service software missing from AI answers?
You cannot diagnose the omission from the name count alone. Seven of 22 checked field service vendors were never named in the 150 valid answers captured on 22 September 2026. The Jobber-versus-Housecall-Pro plumbing comparison left 20 of those 22 vendors unnamed across its 15 answers, which makes the question itself an essential part of the record.
What we measured
Measured. The September field service collection scheduled three captures for ten questions on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. All 150 observations were valid. These seven checked vendors had no matched naming observation across the full panel.

Each zero-of-150 row has a descriptive 95 percent Wilson interval of 0.0 to 2.5 percent. A missing checked name is not evidence that the product lacks a capability or that a website edit would change an answer. Publication was on 23 September 2026.
The category covers a small HVAC business, a growing plumbing company and commercial mechanical or fire-protection contractors. Their question records remain distinct. The pooled sources also included fieldpulse.com in 52 of 150 answers; that figure measures a source host, rather than explaining any vendor's absence.

What this means for you
Reasoned. Ask which trade and job size your missing-name report concerns. A one-person HVAC operator and a commercial contractor should not inherit an identical product investigation simply because both sit in field service management. Preserve the recorded task, answer and engine alongside the name you expected to see.
Check whether the relevant name was inside this study's checked set and whether the recorded aliases would match the returned wording. An unmeasured vendor does not have a zero rate here. A related product or a parent-company reference also needs to be read under the actual matching rule, rather than counted by impression.
Then inspect a concrete claim. If the answer describes a service agreement, connection or supported trade incorrectly, find the supplier document that resolves that statement.
