Why is my hotel software missing from AI answers?
Across the 149 valid hotel answers captured on 22 September 2026, five of 25 checked vendors were never named. That is the recorded gap; the collection cannot tell you why your hotel software was omitted. On the question about what to look for in a hotel property management system, 24 of the 25 checked vendors had no naming observation across 15 valid answers.
What we measured
Measured. In the September hotel Index, ten questions were observed three times on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. One of the 150 scheduled observations returned no Google AI Overview and was excluded, leaving 149 valid answers. These are the five category-wide zero rows.

The descriptive 95 percent Wilson interval for each zero-of-149 naming rate is 0.0 to 2.5 percent. The checked names and capture date belong with that interval; it is not a test of a property's booking operation. The release was published on 23 September 2026.
The eight-property-group question retained 14 valid answers, while the small-independent-hotel question retained 15. A category result therefore should not be copied into every question as if each had the same base. An observation without an Overview is different from an answer that omits a checked name.

What this means for you
Reasoned. Locate the property setting first. A small independent hotel, a group operating several properties and a property evaluating alternatives to its current PMS involve different comparisons. Keep the question that resembles your operation when you inspect the missing name. A broad category label can hide the actual purchasing task.
Read the checked vendor identity as recorded, including any parenthetical product label. A company can sell several products, and the study's matching rule is narrower than every commercial relationship a reader might infer. If your supplier was outside the checked set, leave its result unmeasured rather than adding it to this table.
For a source investigation, follow the retained answer's links to the specific reservation, distribution or property-management statement at issue. hoteltechreport.com appeared in 103 of 149 pooled source lists, but that does not explain why a vendor was absent. Establish the factual correction before proposing a page change. This collection does not show that another source mention, an edition update or a revised description would cause a future answer to name the product.
