Which legal practice software does Claude recommend?

Clio appeared in 25 of 30 Claude legal-practice answers captured on 22 September 2026; 8am MyCase appeared in 21 and Filevine in 19. For a litigation firm replacing an on-premise system, the useful next step is the matching question record, not a decision from those totals. The study recorded names rather than testing a practice's migration or professional requirements.

What we measured

Measured. This engine slice of the September collection contains ten fixed questions with three valid Claude answers each. Clio's 25 of 30 is 83.3 percent, with a descriptive 95 percent Wilson interval of 66.4 to 92.7 percent. Answers were captured on 22 September 2026 and released on 23 September.

On the question about a mid-size litigation firm leaving on-premise software, Assembly Neos, Clio and Filevine each appeared in all three Claude answers; 8am MyCase appeared in none. On the three-to-five-attorney question, 8am MyCase appeared in all three. These cells belong to the same thirty-answer panel. Every checked name, including four zero rows, remains in the alphabetical table.

What this means for you

Reasoned. Write the migration problem before opening vendor pages. Which matter records need to move? Which billing records must remain usable? Use those requirements to decide what to inspect in a product demonstration. A repeated name tells you where an answer pointed, without proving that a migration would work for your firm.

Retain the exact product identity when you follow the record. A general vendor description can leave important conditions unresolved. For an export, document-management connection or permission setting, request the documentation for the edition you would actually use and record the source date beside your requirement.

Keep the smaller-practice question separate from the litigation-migration question in your notes. Moving a candidate between them without checking its support loses the distinction shown by the 8am MyCase counts. You can reasonably retain the product for investigation while marking a particular requirement unknown.

If you publish a legal-software comparison, tie each factual description to its supporting source. Do not describe an observed zero as a failing in the product, and do not turn this naming measure into a claim that confidentiality, professional suitability or migration outcomes were assessed.

Use Free 10-question check (one engine) for the practice decision you are researching and preserve the product labels in the answer. No email is needed; runs are limited per network and per day, and by the site's daily allowance.

When a retained answer misstates one documented product fact, Fix one answer, $490 can focus the correction on that fact. Keep the firm's own software evaluation separate.

Every figure comes from the published method, v1.1.

Claiming or correcting a vendor record is free and never depends on a purchase.
