Which project management software does Perplexity recommend?
The saved Perplexity project-management answers name Asana in 19 of 30, ClickUp in 18 and Wrike in 14, with captures dated 22 September 2026. Nine of the ten checked platforms appear somewhere in the panel. This is a naming result across several coordination problems, not a test of which platform will deliver your projects.
What we measured
Measured. Each of the ten project-management questions has three valid Perplexity runs in the September Index data. Asana's 19 of 30 corresponds to 63.3%, with a descriptive 95% Wilson interval of 45.5% to 78.1%. The answers were captured on 22 September 2026 and published in the release the next day.
| Checked vendor | Named in valid Perplexity answers |
|---|---|
| Airtable | 3 of 30 |
| Asana | 19 of 30 |
| Basecamp | 3 of 30 |
| ClickUp | 18 of 30 |
| Jira | 10 of 30 |
| monday.com | 2 of 30 |
| Notion | 0 of 30 |
| Smartsheet | 9 of 30 |
| Trello | 7 of 30 |
| Wrike | 14 of 30 |
For a cross-functional team, Asana, ClickUp and Wrike each appeared in all three answers. On the services-business question about poor project visibility, Wrike appeared three times and monday.com twice; Asana appeared in none. A category total therefore joins quite different prompts and answer styles.
Two question groups, about combined agile and structured planning and about buyer-evaluation criteria, named no checked platforms in their six answers. Those answers remain valid. The matching rules count whether a checked identity occurs, without scoring the advice, verifying a feature or measuring delivery predictability. The table's alphabetical order has no ranking meaning.
Every figure comes from the published method, v1.1.
What this means for you
Reasoned. Describe the coordination difficulty before choosing which saved records to read. Concurrent client projects, distributed work and planning across functions all occur in this bank. Keep the corresponding question with each count you use in an internal recommendation.
Turn a suggested platform into a short list of claims to verify. For a services firm with poor visibility, that might mean examining the exact reporting or planning operation described by the answer. The published counts do not show whether your information can be assembled that way.
Retain Notion's zero row and the two name-free question groups in any summary. Neither should disappear because they interrupt a tidy list of products. If your later collection uses different project questions, show that change before comparing the resulting rates.

Begin Free 10-question check (one engine) with the project coordination problem you want to inspect, then save the complete response and its context. No email is needed; runs are limited per network and per day, and by the site's daily allowance.
If the response misstates one documented platform fact, Fix one answer, $490 can handle that correction with a source and a served-page readback. Project delivery outcomes need their own records.
Claiming or correcting a vendor record is free and never depends on a purchase.
