Which sources do AI answers cite for dealership software?
voltra.ai appeared in 39 of 150 dealership answer source lists captured on 22 September 2026; g2.com appeared in 35 and capterra.com in 27. The category recorded 175 distinct domains. These are pooled source observations across five engines, so use the actual linked page to investigate a claim rather than reading the domain totals as an engine's preferred suppliers.
What we measured
Measured. The published September collection contains three observations of ten dealership questions on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. All 150 answers were valid. A domain counts at most once within an answer, even if several links point to it. These selected examples are alphabetical.
| Recorded domain | Appeared in source lists |
|---|---|
| capterra.com | 27 of 150 |
| dealerint.com | 25 of 150 |
| dealersignals.com | 29 of 150 |
| g2.com | 35 of 150 |
| vendormotive.com | 29 of 150 |
| voltra.ai | 39 of 150 |
voltra.ai's 39 of 150 corresponds to 26.0 percent, with a descriptive 95 percent Wilson interval of 19.6 to 33.6 percent. This is a source-list frequency, not a share of all hyperlinks or a probability of being recommended. The release was published on 23 September 2026.
The source-domain field combines the engines. It does not allocate these hosts to ChatGPT, Claude or another individual engine, nor does a domain row identify the passage supporting a particular dealership claim.
Every figure comes from the published method, v1.1.
What this means for you
Reasoned. Choose a recorded question before choosing which source to investigate. An independent lot comparing DealerCenter with Frazer is asking something different from a franchise dealer comparing Tekion with CDK. Use the source links retained with that answer, keeping the dealership setting beside the claim.
Read the destination itself. A host can contain a product description, a comparison, a directory entry or unrelated material; its name alone will not tell you which statement the answer used. Preserve the exact URL, the relevant passage and the date you checked it. If the passage does not support the claim, record that mismatch rather than giving the entire domain a quality label.
For a vendor reviewing its own public facts, compare the specific product and edition named by the source. Do not assume that a high count means a source is accurate, that an omitted source was rejected, or that obtaining a page on one of these hosts would change an AI answer. The useful next document is a claim with a readable receipt, not a list of places to buy exposure.

In Free 10-question check (one engine), follow a dealership-product statement to the page cited for it and retain the source passage with the answer. No email is needed; runs are limited per network and per day, and by the site's daily allowance.
Where that comparison exposes one incorrect supported fact, Fix one answer, $490 can define the page correction. Source frequency itself is not the acceptance evidence for the fix.
Claiming or correcting a vendor record is free and never depends on a purchase.
