Which transportation software does Perplexity recommend?
The ten-truck carrier question returned AscendTMS in all three Perplexity answers captured on 22 September 2026. Across the thirty transportation answers, AscendTMS appeared in 15 and Alvys in ten; nineteen of the 25 checked vendors were named somewhere. Those are the observed names in this study, with a carrier, broker or shipper's purchasing choice still to establish.
What we measured
Measured. The transportation panel contains thirty valid Perplexity answers from ten predefined questions and three runs per question. The release receipt was published on 23 September 2026, following the 22 September captures. AscendTMS's observed 15 of 30 is 50.0%, with a descriptive 95% Wilson interval of 33.2% to 66.8%.

For a carrier with about ten trucks, AscendTMS appeared in all three answers and Alvys in none. The freight-brokerage question named Tai TMS three times, McLeod Software twice and AscendTMS zero times. A separate shipper question for about two hundred loads a month named Kuebix by FreightWise three times and Rose Rocket once.
The rows preserve the release's exact identities, including Descartes, Descartes 3G TMS and Descartes Aljex. Their counts can overlap within an answer and should not be added as though each represented a different buyer. Naming frequency does not measure shipment performance, integrations, source support or endorsement.
Every figure comes from the published method, v1.1.
What this means for you
Reasoned. Choose the operating role before interpreting the list. The small-carrier question and the brokerage question produced different observed names. Save that wording beside any table you take to an operations or purchasing discussion.
Check an answer's specific claim against documentation for the relevant product. A broad vendor identity may not establish the module or connection that your freight workflow needs. Keep the source passage and any unresolved detail in the comparison rather than filling the gap from familiarity with the name.
When reporting omissions, retain all six zero rows and describe the checked set. Truckbase occurs in one fixed comparison question but is not one of this table's checked vendor identities. Its absence from the table is a scope boundary, not a zero measured under the same matching rules.

Where an answer gets one verifiable transportation-software fact wrong, Fix one answer, $490 can address that fact with its source. A repaired sentence still needs a served readback.
Claiming or correcting a vendor record is free and never depends on a purchase.
