Which sources do AI answers cite for hotel software?

hoteltechreport.com appeared in 103 of 149 valid hotel answer source lists captured on 22 September 2026, compared with roommaster.com in 65 and stayntouch.com in 57. The full category recorded 132 distinct domains. This concentration identifies sources to read in the saved answers; it does not show that the most frequent host was the most accurate or caused the returned shortlist.

What we measured

Measured. The September release scheduled three observations of ten hotel questions on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. It retained 149 valid answers out of 150 scheduled observations; the excluded observation returned no Google AI Overview. Each source host counts at most once per valid answer, and these examples are alphabetical.

Recorded domain Appeared in source lists
cloudbeds.com 41 of 149
conduit.ai 27 of 149
hoteltechreport.com 103 of 149
mews.com 38 of 149
roommaster.com 65 of 149
stayntouch.com 57 of 149

hoteltechreport.com's 103 of 149 is 69.1 percent, with a descriptive 95 percent Wilson interval of 61.3 to 76.0 percent. Publication was on 23 September 2026. The domain counts pool the engines; they cannot be relabelled as a ChatGPT or Google citation rate.

The rows overlap because an answer can cite several domains. They are not market shares, a count of hotel bookings or an assessment of the commercial relationship between a source and a software supplier.

Every figure comes from the published method, v1.1.

What this means for you

Reasoned. Keep the property question attached to its sources. A small independent hotel and an eight-property group have different research contexts in this bank. Follow the destination from the answer you are examining, then identify the passage about the exact product, property setting and requirement.

Distinguish a host from a page. The same domain can publish many product descriptions and comparisons, while this table combines their occurrences at domain level. Save the precise URL and supporting passage when checking a claim. If the answer states more than the source supports, retain that difference instead of treating the domain's overall frequency as a substitute for evidence.

For an internal hotel-software report, print the historical count with its date and base. Avoid calling a host authoritative merely because it appeared often, and do not infer that an uncited supplier lacks a documented capability. If your own source page needs a correction, define the product fact and its evidence first. The data does not promise that copying a cited page's format will produce another citation.

Use Free 10-question check (one engine) to inspect a hotel-product statement and read the page cited for that statement, with your property's actual setting in view. No email is needed; runs are limited per network and per day, and by the site's daily allowance.

For one supported hotel-software factual correction, Fix one answer, $490 can address the page wording. Retain the served result separately from any later AI observation.

Claiming or correcting a vendor record is free and never depends on a purchase.
