Which insurance agency software does Claude recommend?

Claude's benefits-agency answers gave a different research list from its property-and-casualty answers. In answers captured on 22 September 2026, Applied Systems appeared in 25 of 30 insurance-agency answers, EZLynx in 24 and HawkSoft in 22. Those are recorded names; choosing software for your agency still requires evidence about the actual product and work.

What we measured

Measured. The September Index asked ten agency-software questions three times on Claude. All 30 answers were valid, and publication followed on 23 September 2026. Applied Systems's 25 of 30 gives 83.3 percent, with a descriptive 95 percent Wilson interval of 66.4 to 92.7 percent.

The life-and-health-benefits question named AgencyBloc, NextAgency and Ebix (SmartOffice) in each of its three Claude answers. EZLynx and Vertafore were absent from those three. The table includes all nineteen checked vendor labels, alphabetically; a name can appear alongside several others in one answer.

What this means for you

Reasoned. Begin with the line of business. If your agency works in benefits, use that question's record before taking the larger total as a shortlist. A list built around a commercial-lines brokerage may send you to a different set of product documents. Save the question that led you to each candidate.

For a new agency, write down the operations that need proof: a carrier connection, a renewal handoff or another task your producers perform. Ask for the exact product and module that handles it. The broad Applied Systems label in the table cannot establish that every product in that company supplies the operation you need.

Read an answer's justification separately from its list of names. If Claude describes a capability, find the vendor's dated documentation for the same edition. Keep an unsupported description in your research notes until it can be checked. That evidence review may remove a frequently named product from your own list.

For an agency-software publisher, identify the intended agency type beside each supported fact. If a generated answer confuses that scope, retain the answer and the passage that resolves it. A larger naming count cannot substitute for a correction receipt.
