Which project management software does Claude recommend?

ClickUp and Wrike tied at 18 of 30 Claude project-management answers captured on 22 September 2026, while Smartsheet appeared in 16. The tie leaves your project decision open. The underlying question records distinguish concurrent client work, spreadsheet replacement and distributed teams; the count measures naming rather than product quality.

What we measured

Measured. Ten questions, each with three valid Claude answers, make up this September panel. Either 18 of 30 count gives 60.0 percent, with a descriptive 95 percent Wilson interval of 42.3 to 75.4 percent. The answers were captured on 22 September 2026 and published on 23 September.

Checked vendor Named in valid Claude answers
Airtable 3 of 30
Asana 15 of 30
Basecamp 5 of 30
ClickUp 18 of 30
Jira 11 of 30
monday.com 6 of 30
Notion 0 of 30
Smartsheet 16 of 30
Trello 6 of 30
Wrike 18 of 30

For coordinating several concurrent client projects, ClickUp and Wrike each appeared in all three Claude answers; Smartsheet appeared once. For replacing a spreadsheet-based process, Airtable, monday.com and Smartsheet each appeared in all three. All ten checked vendors are shown alphabetically, including Notion's zero. The cells share the thirty-answer base and are not separate experiments.

What this means for you

Reasoned. Choose the problem your team needs to solve before breaking the tie. Coordinating client projects might lead you to inspect permissions and handoffs, while replacing spreadsheets might make the existing record structure the first thing to examine. Those are questions for a product evaluation, not capabilities established by the naming table.

Write one task that a prospective system must handle and ask for evidence of that task in the relevant edition. Retain the example record, the source document and any condition that would change the result. This gives your team something more useful to compare than two equal frequencies.

Read the question-level counts when an aggregate looks surprising. A system can accumulate names across several decisions and still be absent on the one that resembles your work. Conversely, a name appearing in one narrow question does not establish support for every project process in the panel.

If you maintain a project-software page, describe the supported task in concrete terms and attach the evidence for each capability. Keep an unanswered product question visible until its source is found. A zero row in this collection gives you an observation to investigate, without a measured explanation for the omission.

Try the team decision you actually face in Free 10-question check (one engine), then choose one returned capability claim to verify. No email is needed; runs are limited per network and per day, and by the site's daily allowance.

For a single project-software fact that needs a supported source-page correction, Fix one answer, $490 can define the change and its evidence. A naming tie is not itself an error to repair.

Every figure comes from the published method, v1.1.

Claiming or correcting a vendor record is free and never depends on a purchase.
