What do AI answers say about property management software?

119 of the 148 valid property-management answers named Buildium in our 22 September 2026 panel. The answers covered landlords, growing management companies, comparisons and alternatives; they did not give one universal product choice. If you are buying for a particular portfolio, read that buyer question before treating the pooled count as your shortlist.

What we measured

Measured. The September Index used ten residential property-management questions, with three runs per engine. Two Google AI Overview targets were excluded, leaving 148 valid answers. Buildium's published naming interval is 73.3% to 86.0% at 95% confidence.

Read the zeros. Every checked vendor appears below, including zero counts. The bases in the headings are valid answers; each cell counts answers naming that vendor.

What this means for you

Reasoned. Your first useful distinction is the buyer's job. A landlord with 50 units and a growing property-management company have different questions in the published set. Read the matching record, including its zero rows, rather than importing the answer to a larger operator's question.

For a vendor reading this roster, Condo Control is an observed zero across all five engine columns, while Buildium appears in every column. The 50-unit landlord and Buildium-versus-AppFolio records let you inspect the narrower buyer context. Neither the table's pooled leader nor Condo Control's zero identifies the reason an engine selected its names.

For a buyer comparing Buildium with AppFolio, preserve both names and the engine's 30-answer base, or the 28-answer Overview base. The counts describe how often the names appeared on that capture date. Open the products' own current documentation for portfolio limits, accounting, payments and migration terms.

For an agency, put the narrower question beside the category chart. That lets a client see why a result for a small landlord should not be presented as evidence about every property-management purchase.
