Which measures belong beside one another?

109 of 150 valid construction answers named Procore; 30 of the same 150 included a concurrent citation to its own domain. Those two measures belong beside one another because they describe different events in the same capture of 22 September 2026. If you report them together, keep the event labels rather than turning either count into an overall success score.

What we measured

Measured. The September Index release retained all 150 targeted construction responses: ten buyer questions, three repeats and five engines. Procore's naming count is 109. Its concurrent own-domain citation count is 30. The latter records a qualifying host in the same answer; it does not audit whether the cited page supports every nearby claim.

Event in the construction panel Procore count Valid-answer base
Named in the answer 109 150
Named with a concurrent own-domain citation 30 150

The panel did not measure a buyer's purchase, a product trial or revenue.

What this means for you

Reasoned. Keep the denominator. In this example, 150 is the valid-response base for both measures. Dividing the citation count by the naming count would create a conditional measure with a different meaning. That may be a question you want to investigate, but it needs its own label instead of silently replacing the published rate.

The engine scope matters too. These Procore totals pool ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. A ChatGPT-only chart needs that engine's observations and base; placing a pooled citation total beside one engine's naming total would hide the mismatch.

Study 7 supplies a further reason to label your sources. Its construction coding uses a 149-answer eligible base, whereas this Index panel has 150 valid responses. Its feature and procurement-criterion counts answer different questions from the two Procore events above. Put the study name and its own base beside a coding result before a reader compares it with the Index.
