Which AI visibility tools can a buyer verify?
If you want an AI visibility tool you can check, Profound and seoClarity publish descriptions you can compare with an actual answer record. Start with the event each number counts. On 22 September 2026, our field-service record counted 50 answers naming Jobber and 46 answers that cited Jobber's domain, from 150 valid answers. A tool that combines those events gives you a different result from one that keeps them separate.
What we measured
Measured. The September Index release records Jobber's naming and own-domain citation counts across ten fixed questions, three runs and the five named engines. Both figures use 150 valid answers. The published 95% intervals are 26.3% to 41.2% for naming and 23.8% to 38.5% for citation.
Reported. Profound's Answer Engine Insights documentation, read on 29 October 2026, separates visibility, citations and share of voice. Its visibility denominator includes responses containing at least one brand. seoClarity's visibility page, read the same day, describes tracking brand mentions and citations. Those public descriptions establish the providers' stated scope.
Our Jobber observations cannot establish either tool's accuracy.
What this means for you
Reasoned. Open one saved answer. Can you find the name and the cited address that produced its two recorded fields? For Jobber, the relevant source address is different from an unrelated publisher mentioning Jobber. An export needs enough detail to preserve that distinction.
For a purchasing decision, compare the denominator before comparing the score. Profound's published visibility definition removes responses without a brand; our Index retains every valid response in its base. Ask how failures and empty results appear in the candidate product's export.
For an agency comparing these tools, put one Jobber answer in the handover with separate name and domain fields. Our panel's 50 naming answers and 46 citation answers are the counting example, not an expected export from either product. Ask the provider to show how its own export would represent those two events and an answer containing no brand.
