Can radiology software integrate with ChatGPT?
RamSoft announced a ChatGPT-powered feature for its Blume medical-imaging patient app on 13 April 2023. That is a reported embedded example: our separate Agent Gap study reached 11 endpoints from 15 initial radiology-software website tasks on 6 October 2026, without exercising patient-app access.
What we measured
Reported. The dated RamSoft announcement, read on 29 October 2026, describes plain-language responses about procedures such as MRI, ultrasound and PET/CT. It places this feature in Blume, alongside patient-portal functions, and describes a demonstration with OmegaAI at HIMSS 2023. This is a provider's announcement, not a record of our using the app.
Measured. The Agent Gap study design for the radiology category covered five vendors and three initial public-site tasks per vendor: description, pricing and the demo path. Eleven of fifteen tasks reached the intended destination. Those destinations belonged to the public buying path, rather than to an authenticated radiology system or patient record.
Reasoned. RamSoft supplies a concrete example for the category-level question, while the study identifies the separate public-site boundary. Neither source establishes a current clinic deployment, the safety of a medical answer or a connection to your personal ChatGPT account.
What this means for you
Ask which integration is meant. Blume's announced procedure explanations are different from letting a chat client retrieve a particular patient's imaging report. The announcement names the former; it is not a documented permission map for the latter.
The other Blume functions in that announcement also need to stay separate. Scheduling, intake forms and sharing medical images are patient-app functions; their presence beside an AI feature does not establish that the AI feature may execute each of them. A proposed report-sharing workflow therefore needs its own documented action and access conditions, rather than a product screenshot that happens to show both functions.
If you are assessing a radiology vendor's public answer, retain the 2023 date when it cites this launch. Describing RamSoft as having announced an embedded feature is supported by that record. Describing a currently available consumer-account connector would require a different source that names the client, permitted actions and intended account. Keep those fields beside the exact statement being reviewed.
