What is Origence?

14 of 150 loan-software answers named Origence in our September Index, captured on 22 September 2026. Origence is the lending-technology network whose official FAQ distinguishes arc, Lending Services, CUDL and FI Connect; the Index’s naming result describes that checked entity rather than a lending recommendation.

What we measured

Reported. Origence's official FAQ, read on 30 October 2026 UTC, identifies credit unions, auto dealers and borrowers as the audiences for its connected lending solutions. It distinguishes arc OS for origination, arc DX for the digital member experience and arc MX for marketing. CUDL is the indirect-lending network; Lending Services supplies operational support, while FI Connect concerns embedded financing.

Measured. The Index's released panel binds Origence to origence.com and keeps CU Direct and arc OS as aliases. Its 150-answer category base combines ten buyer questions, three repeats and five engines. The fourteen named answers are observations of the checked name or alias, not fourteen lenders, borrowers or installed systems.

Reasoned. The provider's product map helps interpret a short answer that names only Origence. The Index cannot establish which product a borrower uses, the terms of a loan or whether a particular institution offers it.

What this means for you

Read the product name. In the FAQ, arc OS and arc DX have different jobs: one supports origination workflows, while the other describes the member-facing application experience. An answer referring to the digital application should not silently assign that role to arc MX, which the provider describes as its marketing experience.

The CU Direct alias also has a dated explanation. Origence's FAQ records the earlier CU Direct name and the later Origence identity, then describes its 2025 brand consolidation. That makes the released alias useful for recognizing historical wording; it is not another vendor to add to the category total whenever both names appear.
