Digitail vs ezyVet for AI-native veterinary practice management with telemedicine and client engagement tools, which is better?
For a practice choosing AI-assisted records alongside telemedicine and client messaging, compare the documented setup: Digitail describes built-in intake, while ezyVet documents separate VetRec and Zoom connections. Our 22 September 2026 veterinary answers named Digitail in 67 of 149 and ezyVet in 115 of 149. Those counts measure visibility, not which system is better for your clinic.
What we measured
Measured. The September Index method used ten veterinary buyer questions and three runs per engine. One Google AI Overviews return failed the collection's validity check, leaving 149 retained answers. The complete checked roster and naming counts are below, with each engine's base in its heading.

Reported. Digitail's 29 June 2026 article describes Tails AI Patient Intake as built in, with the intake summary placed in the patient record. Its Pet Parent App page, read on 29 October, advertises Chat & Video and describes native two-way chat. Booking arrives as a request for the practice to review and accept.
ezyVet's VetRec documentation, read on 29 October 2026, describes AI Scribe syncing notes and AI Receptionist handling calls. It requires practice-manager configuration and explicit caller confirmation for actions. Refill requests go to staff review. Its listed regions are the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
The same day's virtual-appointment requirements identify Zoom; saving the recorded call requires cloud recording. The Vello setup guide lists SMS registration, portal setup and a choice of appointment requests or direct calendar booking.
What this means for you
Reasoned. Choose the booking event first. Digitail's published request needs practice acceptance; Vello offers a configured choice between requests and direct scheduling. A request reaching a queue is a different result from an appointment placed directly in the calendar.
For video, ezyVet provides an explicit Zoom recording dependency. If you need a call saved in the clinical record, include that condition in the proposed setup. Digitail's app page groups follow-up under Chat & Video but does not supply that same recording specification; seek the matching documented workflow before comparing recording requirements.
For AI reception, VetRec's caller-confirmation and staff-review rules give you concrete controls to inspect. Put the clinic's country beside that route, because the current documentation names specific regions.
