Which AI-based CRM is the best?

An AI label does not establish which CRM is best for your workflow. In The AI written RFP, we examined CRM returns from 22 September 2026: an explicit AI accuracy-or-usefulness criterion appeared in 3 of 150 answers. All three occur in the buyer-evaluation question, where the answers ask for task-specific evidence rather than naming one universal winner.

What we measured

Measured. The study-specific coding method and evidence code requirements in the retained answers before their first vendor mention. The three CRM records are ChatGPT's three returns for question nine. Their passages mention accuracy, practical usefulness, human approval, data handling or usage charges. The published rate is 2.0%, with a 95% interval of 0.7% to 5.7%. Team review: in progress. The coding records buyer criteria stated in answers, without testing the AI features of any CRM.

Reported. HubSpot's connector documentation, updated on 19 October and read on 29 October 2026, describes creating and updating CRM records from ChatGPT. It distinguishes connection permissions, Sensitive Data settings, supported operations and constraints on validation rules.

Reasoned. The criterion gives a comparison a defined task to investigate; the connector document supplies one named product's reported boundaries for that investigation.

What this means for you

For an intended contact-update workflow, HubSpot's validation warning is more informative than a broad AI badge. Its guide says custom validation rules are not applied through the connector. A team relying on such a rule would therefore have a particular condition to resolve before treating a chat-driven update as equivalent to its existing entry process. The cited document establishes the warning, rather than an observed failure in your account.

Separate the permissions. The setup guide identifies Super Admin or App Marketplace Access permissions for connection, while its Sensitive Data instructions address what information can be processed through the integration. Those are different from the buyer-question passage asking whether AI is useful on a task. A product can document a route without that document demonstrating the accuracy of the proposed task.

The third retained passage says "Evaluate AI separately" and includes incremental charges among the topics to ask about. It does not give an amount. That distinction matters if a CRM's ordinary subscription price is being used to budget an AI workflow: the retained answer presents an extra question for the supplier, rather than evidence that the base subscription covers it.
