What did the buyer report?

A buyer report is the buyer’s own account of how they found or assessed you. It differs from an assistant choosing a supplier: our Head to Head study recorded 75 single-vendor selections among 359 scored answers from 22 September 2026. Those selections tell you what the engines returned, not what a buyer said, clicked or bought.

What we measured

Measured. The Head to Head study method compares vendor pairs under retained buyer questions. Its 24 distinct category-and-question combinations contribute 359 scored answers; one further return is unscored. Seventy-five scored answers select one vendor. Counting that single-vendor outcome does not create seventy-five human decisions.

Reported. Our AI Source Standard defines a buyer’s shared source account separately from a referral observation or commercial event. The account needs the date and the discovery question the buyer chose to answer. A missing response remains a missing response.

Reasoned. The model-selection evidence is useful when reviewing what a buyer might have encountered, but it cannot establish that a particular buyer saw that answer. The study did not collect buyer testimony or purchases.

What this means for you

In the retained construction question “Procore vs Buildertrend, which is better for a small GC”, the Head to Head table records fifteen scored answers: eleven select Buildertrend alone, three include both suppliers and one names neither. Those are classifications of engine returns. It does not supply the words of a general contractor who bought either tool.
