What are examples of answer engine optimization?

Jobber's retained plan-price disagreement is a concrete example for factual-answer work: publish a specific claim with the plan, billing basis and dated source needed to check it. Our Wrong About You study labels 2 of 41 Jobber statements wrong. Its answer captures are from 22 September 2026, and the pricing-page reference was read on 8 October 2026. The example identifies a correction task, rather than a measured increase in AI visibility.

Observed answers on stated dates, not a ranking.

What we measured

Measured. The study's statement-review method records twenty-nine true Jobber statements, two wrong statements and ten unverifiable statements, with no stale entries. One wrong claim concerns the Core starting price and recurs in two Claude returns for the one-person heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) question. The other is a pricing-range statement in an Overview return to the small-HVAC-company question. Team review: in progress. No repair or content-change experiment was conducted for these examples.

The retained historical Claude statement, captured on 22 September 2026 and marked wrong against the dated vendor reference, reads:

Jobber Core starts at $39/month with clean client management

This is the disputed historical statement, not a current vendor price. Team review: in progress.

Reasoned. A public fact answer can keep the exact plan and billing qualifier with the dated reference. A measurement report can separately preserve the original wrong claim and its repeated observations, so the correction's subject stays inspectable.

What this means for you

Name the plan. In the Core entry, the retained vendor extract distinguishes a monthly display from an annually billed amount and identifies the user allowance. An answer that merely says Jobber costs a single monthly amount loses those fields. A proposed factual answer would state which plan and billing basis the retained extract describes, with the 8 October date attached.

The second example concerns a range, rather than the Core proposition. The Overview answer presents a lower and upper monthly figure beside a product description; the study classifies that statement separately. A correction note for that entry therefore needs to identify the retained range statement, rather than assuming that changing the Core sentence addresses every price claim in the collection.

The source record also supplies a reporting example. The Core claim has two Claude observations, but remains one distinct statement in the forty-one-statement base. Showing the original claim, question and reference lets a reader trace that classification without presenting the repeated outputs as separate customer experiences. Ten other statements remain unverifiable under the same rules.
