Is transportation management software with ChatGPT free?
Alvys documents a restricted ChatGPT connection, but its public description does not establish free access to a transportation management system. Our Agent Gap study reached 4 of 5 transportation pricing destinations on 6 October 2026. Those public terms are a different record from the Free chat functions used to research software.

What we measured
Measured. The Agent Gap study design gave five transportation vendors an initial public-pricing task. Alvys, Oracle Transportation Management, Tai TMS and SAP Transportation Management reached the target; AscendTMS did not. Reaching was recorded separately from correctness. The study did not acquire an account or operate the Alvys connection. The September Index retains the following complete named-vendor panel: thirty original returns per engine on 22 September 2026.

In the retained AscendTMS and Alvys comparison, ChatGPT described Alvys as “Pricing based on monthly load volume” on 22 September 2026. The wording is historical answer text, not a current Alvys price check or evidence that its ChatGPT connection is free.
Reported. OpenAI's Free-plan frequently asked questions (FAQ), saved on 30 October 2026, describes public web research subject to feature limits. Alvys's Intelligence page, read on 29 October 2026, describes a ChatGPT connection and lists load search, invoice status, driver availability and tracking history.
Reasoned. A reached public price page and a permitted query against transport records are separate events. The former does not grant a transport-system account or establish that its documented connection is included in a Free chat plan.
What this means for you
Read the access conditions. The Alvys section describes bringing an assistant to the company's existing transport records. A research question about freight software starts with public information instead. The reported load-search example therefore concerns a particular account's loads, rather than a free list of loads collected during ordinary web research.
Invoice status has a narrow meaning in the same section. Looking up that status is not described as editing an invoice, approving a charge or sending a customer a bill. Driver availability and tracking history are also listed as queries. The section does not supply a role map or a write-action permission list for those documented operations.
For public research, the small-carrier question retains a concrete fleet size of about ten trucks. A mid-size freight brokerage and a large enterprise shipper have separate questions in the panel. These are buyer scenarios in public answers; the Index naming table contains no carrier's private load history or driver-availability record.
